Microsoft announced today that Remedy’s psychological thriller Alan Wake, will be coming to Xbox Live’s Games on Demand section next week. The part mental horror story about light and dark, part action game will be available for download worldwide, except Japan for some reason, for 2400 Microsoft Points (the equivalent of $30 USD). If you happened to pick up an Xbox 360 2010 Holiday Bundle though, which includes the new Xbox 360 250GB, and copy of Forza Motorsport 3, you’re in luck, because it includes a download code (or “token” as Microsoft calls it) for Alan Wake as well.

Sadly, unlike Burnout Paradise and some other games re-released online, Alan Wake for Games on Demand will not include all of the extra DLC content made available before its online release. So if you decide to get the game via Games on Demand and want The Signal and The Writer too, you’ll need to purchase them separately, for 560 Microsoft Points (approximately $7 USD) each. Having not reviewed them, we can’t tell you whether that’s a good value or not. Alan Wake will be available on Games on Demand next Tuesday, November 23rd.
